NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nashville-based healthcare startup EvidenceCare announced this week the addition of Judson Ivy, CEO of Ensemble Health Partners, to its board of directors.
EvidenceCare, a patient-focused clinical decision support tool for clinicians, was conceived in 2014 to solve a fundamental need for healthcare providers to find and quickly digest the latest treatment guidelines.
In 2016, the company launched its technology platform and currently has a variety of protocols for emergency medicine, antibiotic stewardship, gastroenterology and more, with content accredited by the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology for CME credit. In addition, the platform integrates a patient education tool that enhances the dialogue providers have with their patients and a feature that accelerates comprehensive documentation into any EHR.
“Having spent more than a decade in the healthcare revenue cycle space, I know that hospital financial leaders understand the financial benefits of a tool like ours very clearly,” noted Jim Jamieson, the company’s co-founder and chief operating officer. “Bringing Judson’s expertise and vision in this space to our board is monumental for us.”
Ivy founded Ensemble in 2014 and brings extensive experience to the EvidenceCare board from his 19 years as a revenue cycle executive in hospitals, most recently serving as vice president of revenue cycle at Health Management Associates. Ivy said he thinks it’s the perfect time for him to be joining the EvidenceCare board.
“EvidenceCare is on the brink of great things,” said Ivy. “The benefit of EvidenceCare to the clinicians and patients is notable. What I am excited about, however, is helping to shed light on the business impact of clinical decision support for hospitals and health systems. EvidenceCare has built a technology and assembled a team that can be transformational. ”
In addition to his role at Health Management Associates, Ivy also worked as director of patient financial services, regional patient financial services director and vice president regional service center at Community Health Systems.

Since its launch in July 2016, the company’s proprietary content publishing platform is delivering protocols authored by industry-leading experts to healthcare clinicians worldwide.
