The evidence supporting the triage and treatment of COVID-19 is changing minute-by-minute. Keeping current is challenging, if not impossible, in the face of a pandemic. Technology plays a role in providing access and scale to a widening pool of information, creating the ability to rapidly share the latest information and guidelines.
The Collaborative Clinical Advisory Committee (CCAC) is a consortium of healthcare industry leaders gathered by EvidenceCare, ACEP, Elsevier, DynaMed, and CUCM in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The consortium created and launched a collaborative CDSS solution for COVID-19 and has created a series of webinar events for leaders across the industry to discuss and review new findings, approaches, and solutions as they become available. Today, the crisis is COVID-19; tomorrow might present something new.
During the inaugural session on Thursday, April 30, attendees heard from Dr. Sandra Schneider, associate executive director for clinical affairs at ACEP, Dr. Amer Aldeen, chief medical officer at US Acute Care Solutions, and Dr. Hasan Siddiqi, senior cardiovascular disease and research fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School how each of their organizations has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic.
